Employee assistance programs (EAP) through assure which covers mental health, nutrition, financial, legal, coaching and career transition supportWhat you'll be responsible forComply with the requirements of the company's business management Maintain required trade qualifications and competency through training.Complete all preventative maintenance following best practice and manufacturer recommendations, gaining appropriate authorization.Respond to, plan, and carry out corrective maintenance promptly and efficiently, with proper authorization.Manage subcontractors and suppliers (induction, work plans, supervision, auditing/sign-off).Perform trade and regulatory inspections.Monitor mechanical equipment for optimal performance.Provide status reports on plant, equipment, and work programs to Operations.Operate workshop equipment (lathe, mill/drill, welding).Escalate problems promptly.Assist team members with development plans.Help organize supplies (spares and materials) for maintenance.Participate in the On-Call duty operators Roster.Contribute to and apply Health, Safety, Quality Assurance, and Environmental Management Systems.Comply with Veolia's OHS and Environmental Policy, attending meetings and adhering to instructions and procedures.What you'll need to be successfulQualificationsTrade qualification - Mechanical Level 4ExperiencePeople management or Coaching training or qualification At least 5 years experience and hands-on industrial maintenance experience. Computer literacy. Exposure to the Wastewater and/or process industry and basic understanding of various treatment technologies and processes are preferable. Proven ability to establish and maintain working relationships Ability to fault find mechanical equipment or plant Proven problem solving skills and proposed methodologies. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to assess and assimilate a wide range of information, effectively consolidating a position or assessment, possess persistence and confidence in their own judgment and capability, along with the ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances, strong analytical skills, and a focus on the quality of work.This role requires a self-starter who can work with a high degree of autonomy, is a results-focused team player, and maintains a high degree of personal integrity and a positive attitude, in addition to having knowledge of water and wastewater operations, maintenance and project activities, understanding of the criticality of operational requirements and resource consent compliance, and understanding of the commercial nature of the operations of Veolia.Furthermore, the candidate needs the ability to organise resources, establish priorities and meet deadlines through balancing commitments and priorities, strong literacy, numeracy, computing, communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships, while being able to work both independently and as part of a team, and demonstrating motivation and enthusiasm, a keen eye for detail and a desire for excellent customer service.Why Veolia?At Veolia Australia and New Zealand, you'll join a team of over 6500 passionate innovators... and good humans.
