Delivery Driver positions in Salalah

As per the Ministry of Labour, the minimum wage for Omani nationals in unskilled roles including drivers is OMR 325 per month, effective since Ministerial Decision 313/2021 and unchanged for 2026. This applies to full-time contracts in the private sector with no deductions except social insurance.

Standard employment contracts approved by the Ministry of Labour set expatriate light vehicle drivers' salaries at OMR 300 to OMR 450 per month gross, including accommodation allowance of OMR 50. Overtime is paid at 1.25 times the hourly rate for hours beyond 48 per week.

Foreign drivers need a sponsor-issued work residence permit (Article 13 visa) valid for 2 years, renewable, with employer paying OMR 100 monthly levy for non-skilled workers as of 2026. The process requires MOL approval before ROP visa stamping, costing OMR 20 for permit issuance.

Applicants must hold a valid Category 4 heavy vehicle driving license from ROP, with minimum 2 years driving experience verified by prior employer certificate. No formal education beyond secondary school is required, but Omanisation quotas prioritise nationals.
