Job Description
The Hotel Security Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily security operations to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and hotel property. This role involves leading security personnel, enforcing hotel policies and procedures, coordinating emergency responses, and maintaining a secure environment while delivering high standards of guest service.

Key Responsibilities
• Security Operations
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of security officers across all hotel areas including guest floors, public areas, parking facilities, and back-of-house.
• Ensure compliance with hotel security policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and local laws.
• Conduct regular patrols to identify and address security risks, safety hazards, and suspicious activities.
• Monitor CCTV systems, access control systems, fire alarms, and other security equipment.
• Investigate security incidents, guest complaints, thefts, accidents, and disturbances; prepare detailed incident reports.
• Ensure proper control of keys, access cards, and restricted areas.
• Staff Supervision & Training
• Assign duties, schedules, and patrol routes for security personnel.
• Supervise performance, discipline, and conduct of security staff.
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance on security procedures, emergency response, customer service, and conflict resolution.
• Conduct briefings and debriefings at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and evaluating security team members.
• Emergency Response & Safety
• Act as the first responder or supervisor during emergencies such as fire, medical incidents, natural disasters, evacuations, or security threats.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire department, and emergency medical services as needed.
• Ensure proper implementation of fire life safety procedures and evacuation plans.
• Conduct regular fire drills, emergency preparedness drills, and safety inspections.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Guest & Employee Relations
• Maintain a visible and approachable presence to enhance guest confidence and safety.
• Handle guest concerns related to security in a calm, professional, and courteous manner.
• Support hotel departments in resolving safety or security-related issues.
• Balance strict security enforcement with exceptional hospitality standards.
• Reporting & Administration
• Prepare daily security logs, shift reports, and incident documentation.
• Maintain records of incidents, lost and found items, and security equipment inspections.
• Assist in developing and updating security policies, risk assessments, and emergency procedures.
• Provide reports and recommendations to management regarding security improvements.
