Security officer for Warehouse (Eastern)

Under the Progressive Wage Model for the Security Sector, the minimum qualifying monthly salary for security guards with less than 24 months of experience is S$3,000 as of 1 January 2026. This applies to both local and Work Permit holders employed by licensed security agencies. Overtime pay is at least 1.5 times the hourly basic rate for work exceeding 44 hours per week.

Foreigners can work as security guards with a Work Permit, subject to sector-specific levy of S$650 per month and a 35% foreign worker quota for the security industry as of 2026. Employment Pass or S Pass is not applicable for basic security guard roles. The employer must ensure the worker obtains a Security Officer Licence before deployment.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, physically fit, and proficient in English or a national language, with no formal education required but completion of the mandatory 100-hour WSQ Security Guard Course. Singapore Citizens, PRs, or valid Work Permit holders are eligible. Prior criminal records disqualify applicants per police vetting.

Required documents include NRIC or Work Permit, passport-sized photo, medical fitness certificate, WSQ Security course certificate, and police clearance. Applications are submitted online via the SPF e-Services portal with a S$60 fee per licence valid for 2 years as of 2026. Agencies handle renewals every 2 years.
