Duties & Responsibilities

Supervising the Cleaning Team
• The primary responsibility of a cleaning team leader is to manage the cleaning team.
• Ensure that all team members are properly trained and equipped with the necessary tools and cleaning products.
• Assign cleaning tasks to each team member, making sure that the workload is distributed fairly and evenly.

Quality Control
• Responsible for ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
• Inspect work areas and check if any areas have been missed or require additional cleaning.
• Provide feedback and coaching to team members whose performance is below the expected standard.

Time Management
• Manage time efficiently.
• Ensure that work is completed in a timely fashion and that all deadlines are met.
• Ensure that their team members do not waste time and that they work efficiently.

Communication
• Must communicate with clients to understand their expectations and requirements.
• Communicate with their team members to ensure everyone is on the same page.
• Must also update the management team about the status of cleaning projects.

Health and Safety
• Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed.
• Must provide proper training on the safe handling of cleaning products and equipment.
• Must also ensure that all team members wear appropriate clothing and gear to protect themselves from hazardous materials and substances.

Desired Experience & Qualification
• Grade 12
• Above 8 years Supervisory experince in the cleaning services industry
• Proof of Service SETA-accredited Training Certificates in Cleaning Supervision or equivalent.
