Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Facilities Cleaning Supervisor to manage cleaning operations across multiple sites in **Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape**. This role requires strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of professional cleaning standards and procedures. You will be responsible for supervising a team of cleaning staff, ensuring that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in supervising cleaning teams, managing supplies and equipment, and implementing effective cleaning protocols. This role requires hands-on involvement and regular site presence to oversee the quality of work and staff performance. Responsibilities include:
Supervising, training, and mentoring a team of cleaning staff. Developing and implementing daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules. Conducting regular inspections to ensure cleaning standards and quality are met across all designated areas. Managing inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage. Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Responding promptly to cleaning-related issues and emergencies. Coordinating with facility managers and other departments to address specific cleaning needs. Maintaining records of staff performance, training, and supply usage. Implementing and promoting best practices in cleaning and hygiene. Troubleshooting and resolving operational challenges within the cleaning team. Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all cleaning equipment. Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Cleaning Supervisor or similar role managing cleaning staff. Demonstrated knowledge of professional cleaning techniques, tools, and supplies. Strong understanding of health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
