Job Description
Our client, a leading logistics provider with a nationwide network, is seeking experienced and reliable Long-Haul Truck Drivers for immediate hire. This is a unique remote opportunity, allowing drivers to manage their routes and schedules with significant autonomy, focusing on their driving tasks rather than constant office oversight. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP), a clean driving record, and extensive experience operating heavy-duty trucks, preferably including articulated vehicles. Familiarity with South African road networks and traffic regulations is essential. Compliance with all transportation laws and company policies is paramount. Excellent time management and communication skills are necessary to coordinate with dispatch and delivery points effectively. Drivers must be physically fit to handle the demands of long-distance driving and occasional loading/unloading. A commitment to safety, professionalism, and customer service is expected. This remote role offers the flexibility to choose your routes and working periods, providing a high degree of independence. You will be equipped with modern, well-maintained vehicles and supported by a responsive dispatch team. Our client values drivers who are self-motivated, reliable, and dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers seeking a more flexible and autonomous work arrangement, contributing to a vital sector of the economy. You will be an integral part of ensuring goods reach their destinations efficiently and safely across the country. The role demands a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently for extended periods. You will be the face of our client on the road, representing their commitment to excellence in service delivery. The position is based in Cape Town, Western Cape, ZA , but the operational nature of the role is intrinsically remote.
