Tipper Truck drivers - Urgently needed

As per the Department of Employment and Labour, the national minimum wage is R30.65 per hour effective 1 March 2026, applying to light vehicle drivers. This equates to R5,980 per month for 195 ordinary hours. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the rate up to 15 hours per week.

Foreign nationals need a General Work Visa (category 3.1-3.4) sponsored by a registered employer, valid for 1-5 years depending on contract length. Applications require a job offer, qualifications, and police clearance, with processing taking 8-10 weeks. Critical Skills Visa applies only if driving is listed on the 2026 Critical Skills List.

A valid Code 14 driver's licence, Professional Driving Permit (PrDP), and Grade 10 certificate are minimum requirements. Applicants must have at least 2 years of relevant driving experience and pass a medical fitness test. Dangerous goods endorsement is needed for hazardous freight.

Required documents include certified ID copy, CV, certified Code 10/14 licence, PrDP, and medical certificate. For employment equity, submit proof of disability if applicable. Submit via Employment Services of South Africa (ESSA) centres or online portal by 31 December 2026 for priority placement.
