Electrical Artisan (Maintenance – Heavy Industry / Power Plant)

An established EME based in Pretoria East (Waltloo) is seeking to appoint a skilled, reliable, and experienced Electrical Artisan to join their team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in electrical maintenance within heavy industrial environments or power plants.

Minimum Requirements
• Minimum qualification: Technical subjects at NQF Level 4 (Matric / N3 / NCV Level 4)
• Valid Trade Test Certificate as an Electrical Artisan (essential)
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance within heavy industry or power plant environments
• Valid Driver’s License (essential)
• At least one contactable reference

Skills and Competencies
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Good understanding of electrical systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• High level of safety awareness and compliance
• Ability to work under pressure and respond to breakdowns effectively
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities
• Perform electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations on plant equipment
• Diagnose faults and carry out corrective and preventative maintenance
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and regulations
• Minimise downtime by responding promptly to breakdowns and emergencies
• Conduct routine inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records
• Assist with commissioning and testing of electrical systems where required
