Position Type: Permanent

Purpose of the Job

The purpose of this role is to perform electrical installations, conduct maintenance and repairs, and troubleshoot faults while ensuring full compliance with electrical and safety regulations. The role requires working independently, supporting the planning and execution of electrical projects, and assisting with the smooth handover and knowledge transfer during the transition from the retiring senior electrician

Role and Responsibilities
• Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs
• Conduct fault-finding and diagnostics
• Ensure compliance with all electrical and safety regulations
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Assist the MIE-led team in planning and executing electrical projects
• Support smooth handover and knowledge transfer from the retiring senior electrician

Qualifications and Education Requirements
• Matric (Grade 12) or N3 Electrical qualification
• Electrical Trade Test (Compulsory)
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as an electrician
• Knowledge of SANS electrical regulations and safety standards

Preferred Skills
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised
• Willingness to pursue, or currently completing, their Installation Electrician (IE) qualification
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s licence (advantageous)
• DSTV / Television distribution systems
• Air Conditioning systems (installation or maintenance)
