Job Description
Our client, a leading electrical services provider based in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, ZA , is actively seeking motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Electricians to join their growing team. This apprenticeship offers a structured pathway to becoming a fully qualified electrician, combining hands-on practical experience with theoretical training. You will work under the guidance of experienced journeymen and master electricians, learning the essential skills required for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong work ethic, a keen interest in electrical work, and a commitment to developing a successful career in the trades.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist qualified electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, components, and systems. Learn to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams. Perform basic electrical tasks such as pulling wire, installing conduit, connecting fixtures, and testing circuits. Use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Understand and apply electrical codes and safety regulations. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues under supervision. Maintain a clean and organized worksite, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Participate actively in assigned vocational training courses and workshops. Follow instructions from supervisors and experienced electricians meticulously. Document work performed and report progress regularly.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age. Possess a Matriculation certificate or equivalent qualification, with a strong performance in Mathematics and Physical Science. A genuine interest in electrical work and a desire to learn the trade. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Good physical stamina and manual dexterity. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility. Willingness to commit to the full duration of the apprenticeship program. Must be able to commute to various job sites within the Port Elizabeth area. A valid driver's license is advantageous but not essential initially.
