Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to)

· Executing technical training programs in Welding

· Also specializing in the Welding field of Study

· Ensure that proper Welding procedures are being followed and executed correctly.

· Ensure that the standard of Welding is according to the required specifications, quality and safety standards.

· Follow the correct WPS and PQR Procedures

· Schedule training and assessment process

· Control and manage training equipment and materials,

· Working in a team to produce programs that are satisfactory to all relevant parties in an organization.

· Ensuring that statutory training requirements are met.

· Amending and revising programs as necessary, in order to adapt to the changes that occur in the work environment.

· Helping learners to solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one

· Conduct training delivery and assessment of welding skills programs, learnerships and apprentices

· Conduct assessment to determine competency of learners trained on construction trades.

· Maintaining Health & Safety on training sites in keeping with Occupational H&S legislation

· General supervision of learners/trainees on classroom and practical sites

· Perform administration related to learners Portfolio of Evidence (PoE)

· Taking part in moderation activities as required

Qualifications

· 2-3 years Site experience in a Mechanical and Electrical environment (Specific to Welding)

· Qualification in Welding

· Qualification as Facilitator / Trainer

· Degree/Diploma, Certificate or Higher Certificate in ETD

· Competent and certified assessor and moderator an added advantage

· Facilitation/ Training skills accreditation or qualification.

Work experience

· 3-5 years Training experience

· A minimum of five experience on site/job (Other jobs that prepared you for this job)

· Knowledge and understanding of welding skills training requirements (off and onsite)

· Knowledge of the Skills Development Act (NQF, SAQA, SETA, QCTO)
