Overall purpose of the role

To support the mechanical engineers and maintenance teams with welding and fitting metal equipment around site.

Main duties and responsibilities

As a mechanical fitter you must have completed an apprenticeship in welding.

The role of a mechanical fitter involves the following duties:
• Repairing cracked or broken metal work
• Following safety protocols in the workplace
• Maintaining an orderly stock room
• Performing equipment checks and basic maintenance
• Following written instructions and keeping records
• Adhering to health and safety regulations
• Completing physical tasks quickly and accurately.
