Job Description
Our client, a longstanding family run engineering entity in Sidwell (Port Elizabeth), is looking to appoint a Workshop Technician.

NO JHB, CAPE TOWN, DURBAN OR EAST LONDON candidates will be considered for this role. PE and surrounding areas candidates ONLY.

This role is suited to a practical, multi-skilled individual who is comfortable working in a mechanical workshop environment and enjoys a variety of tasks including fabrication, welding, and finishing work.

The ideal candidate is someone with prior workshop experience who is looking to build a long-term career within a stable and growing company.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform general workshop duties including fabrication and assembly.
• Welding of components (primarily stainless steel).
• Polishing and finishing of stainless-steel products.
• Assist with mechanical work and maintenance tasks.
• Operate workshop tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Support the team with various ad hoc technical and manual tasks.

Minimum Requirements:
• Valid Driver’s License
• Proven welding experience
• Previous experience working in a mechanical/workshop environment
• Hands-on, practical skillset with the ability to work with tools and machinery
• Physically fit and capable of manual work
