With 367 rooms, ibis Styles Brisbane is one of the largest hotels in Brisbane City. We are bright, colourful, stylish and we are looking for our next Public Areas Attendant / Houseperson.Job DescriptionThis Houseperson role will includes assisting the housekeeping team through the delivery of hotel linen, chemicals, laundry, deliveries and heavy/lifting work. You are also required to split and join beds as needed per occupancy.There are also times where you will be required to undertake the duties of the public areas attendant which includes carrying out cleaning duties as required for all public areas and back of house areas and support the room attendant team.This includes the locker rooms, staff and public toilets, corridors, staff room and any other public or back of house areas.This is a part time role, with a guarantee minimum hours per week which may include some overnight shifts if required to support the team The hotel operates 24/7 and you will be required to work across weekends, evenings, overnights, public holidays as required.QualificationsPrevious experience in a similar role in a hotel environment is desirable. This role involves heavy lifting and manual handling so a high level of fitness and strength is required.Good English levels and the ability to communicate with our diverse housekeeping team and guests is essential.
