Job Description
Our client, a premier facilities management company, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Cleaning Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations at various client sites. This role requires a hands-on approach and excellent leadership skills to manage a team of cleaning staff and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation are met. You will be responsible for scheduling, training, quality control, and inventory management to maintain pristine environments for our clients.
Responsibilities: Supervise, train, and motivate a team of cleaning technicians to ensure high-quality service delivery. Develop and implement daily/weekly cleaning schedules for assigned locations. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleaning standards are met and identify areas needing attention. Manage cleaning supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper maintenance. Respond promptly to client requests and address any cleaning-related issues or concerns. Implement and enforce all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Maintain accurate records of staff performance, attendance, and cleaning activities. Assist with hiring and onboarding new cleaning staff. Ensure all equipment is used safely and maintained in good working order. Foster a positive and productive work environment for the cleaning team. Liaise with facility managers and clients to ensure satisfaction with cleaning services. Qualifications: Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks. Understanding of health and safety regulations in a cleaning environment. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks as needed and lift up to 50 lbs. Basic computer skills for scheduling and reporting. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for site visits. Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This position is based in Calgary, Alberta, CA and requires on-site presence.
