Job Description
As a security guard, you will play a key role in the protection of property and people at LaSalle College. You will also be responsible for welcoming students and visitors, while ensuring a safe and professional environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Security
β€’ Ensure the safety of the premises and people attending the College;
β€’ Carry out preventive security rounds;
β€’ Ensuring fire prevention;
β€’ Applying protocols in emergency measures;
β€’ Responding to incidents;
β€’ Acting as a First Aid Attendant in the Workplace;
β€’ Ensure that the institution's rules are applied;
β€’ Operate security systems (access control, cameras, alarms, fire panel);
β€’ Issuing access cards.

Customer Service and Support
β€’ Welcoming students and meeting their information needs;
β€’ Providing quality customer service;
β€’ Write reports (incidents, first aid);
β€’ Maintain various records;
β€’ Perform any other related tasks.

REQUIREMENTS
β€’ Have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a similar position;
β€’ Valid security permit issued by the BSP;
β€’ Recognized Security Guard Training (mandatory);
β€’ Valid Workplace First Aid Certificate (CNESST 16 hours / AED);
β€’ Bilingualism (French and English);
β€’ Flexibility and availability when needed (24/7);
β€’ Professional presentation and excellent customer service;
β€’ Fluency with computers.

This role involves interacting with internal and external clients and partners on a national and global scale. Professional proficiency in English is therefore a requirement for this role.
