Job Description
Picking & Packing Team Leader

Daymark are specialists in the design and production of high-quality self-adhesive labels, stickers and tags to a diverse range of industries. Our multi-channel sales strategy and forward thinking approach has ensured continued growth within our print finishing / picking & packing team and is crucial to the success and growth of the business.

Job Purpose:

As a Team Leader, you will monitor and support your finishing / packing team during their daily activities to ensure maximum efficiency and daily targets are met. An attitude and determination for exceeding customer expectations is essential and a willingness to work as part of a team to achieve outstanding results.

Reporting to the Production Manager the Team Leader is responsible for overseeing daily activity within our finishing / picking & packing department, day to day leadership, supervision and direction of the team, ensuring that the team operates productively, safely and continues our drive to dispatch orders to the total satisfaction of our customer base.

Key Responsibilities:
• Communication with the team, ensuring objectives are understood and outcomes to be achieved.
• Ensure that each team member is working at full capacity whilst observing quality standards and health and safety procedures.
• Ensure orders are fulfilled accurately, on time and are of the highest standard.
• Ensure that stock is stored appropriately in the correct locations.
• Support with accurately picking, packing and checking orders when necessary.
• Ensuring that housekeeping is maintained in all areas and that the warehouse is kept neat, clean and tidy at all times.
• Have a motivational and positive approach ensuring colleagues achieve goals.
• Co-operate with all other departments to ensure customer satisfaction outcomes are met.
• Support organising, and participate in, stock takes at regular intervals
• Identify any systems improvements and make recommendations for change.
• Where possible resolve any issues or problems which occur in the warehouse and, where appropriate, elevate those issues to the Production Manager
• Contribute to reviewing ways to reduce waste.

• Excellent attention to detail and quality control.
