Night Shift Production Operatives – Packing & Labelling

As per the UK Government, the National Living Wage for packing jobs is £12.50 per hour for workers aged 21 and over as of 1 April 2026. Workers aged 18-20 receive £9.55 per hour and those under 18 receive £7.55 per hour with no exceptions for entry-level warehouse roles. Overtime must be paid at the same minimum rate for hours above 40 per week.

As per the UK Government, non-UK citizens require a Skilled Worker visa sponsored by a licensed employer for packing roles, which must meet the £38,700 salary threshold or the going rate for the occupation code 9259. Seasonal Worker visas are not available for permanent packing positions and applications must be submitted via the gov.uk visa portal before travel. Dependants are only permitted if the main applicant earns above £38,700.

As per the UK Government, no formal qualifications are required for packing jobs but applicants must be at least 16 years old and pass a right-to-work check. Employers may require basic English and numeracy skills demonstrated through a practical test, with no minimum prior experience mandated under employment law.
