Electrician ( Mumbai Location) (Govandi Gaonthan)

As per the Ministry of Labour & Employment, the minimum wage for a skilled electrician in Central Sphere Zone I is ₹25,040 per month effective from 1 January 2026. This includes basic rate of ₹19,000 plus Variable Dearness Allowance of ₹6,040. Overtime is payable at twice the ordinary rate for hours exceeding 48 per week.

Eligibility requires passing Class 8th with minimum 40% marks and age between 14-40 years as of admission in 2026. The course duration is 2 years leading to NCVT certification for entry-level jobs. Admission is through state counselling or direct via eBiz portal.

Required documents include Aadhaar card, 10th/ITI marksheet, passport-size photo, bank account details, and cancelled cheque. Online registration on the portal provides ₹8,100 monthly stipend for ITI Electrician graduates in 2026. Basic training is 6-12 months with 80% attendance mandatory.

Under the Factories Act 1948, electricians work maximum 48 hours per week or 9 hours per day including overtime. They get 1 weekly off, 12 days casual leave, and 20 days earned leave per year. Maternity leave is 26 weeks for women employees.
