Essential Job Function

Assist the Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, including the preparation of hot and cold foods, maintaining the highest food and sanitation standards, and running the kitchen in the Executive Chef’s absence. We are looking for someone who wants leadership and will take charge in this role.

Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate ingredient knowledge and understanding of culinary trends
• Perform calmly and effectively in a high-volume kitchen
• Manage on-the-fly requests with ease and poise
• Ability to communicate in a clear, conscious way to all team members
• Ability to understand what people are asking, and provide insight in a positive manner
• Help to positively problem solve and offer solutions and support where necessary
Requirements
• Knowledge of best practices for training kitchen staff and implementing kitchen procedures
• High level of reliability
• Safe Serve Manager Certificate
• Flexible schedule required
