POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for all cleaning tasks as assigned by Supervisor and as per contract specifications. Tasks include bathroom maintenance, floor care, window cleaning, general office cleaning, groundskeeping and power washing.

Essential Accountabilities
• Demonstrates skills in glass surface cleaning (i.e. windows) and general floor care (i.e. stripping, waxing and buffing).
• Ensures SAFETY in every aspect of the program by means of:
• Maintaining appropriate behaviors when traveling/performing/socializing.
• Practicing proper way to bend, carry lift & kneel.
• Loading equipment into vans to ensure passengers’ safety and good visibility for driver.
• Operating machinery safely.
• Ensuring that on job sites unused equipment or chemicals are kept to the side in an orderly fashion to prevent accidents.
• Using caution signs at all times when sweeping, stripping, mopping and waxing.
• Inquiring about appropriate usage and procedures for chemicals.
• Reading product labels.
• Completes all assigned tasks as directed by Supervisor. This may include the following:
• Bathroom disinfection
• Window cleaning
• Carpet vacuuming and shampooing
• Stripping, waxing and buffing the floors
• Trash removal
• Cleans equipment after usage (i.e. rinses mops and wipes machinery). The cleaning of vans may also be required.
• Complies with the rules and regulations set forth by Clean Corp.
• Lifts/moves heavy objects on occasion (i.e. brings buffing machine upstairs/downstairs; loads equipment into the van: carries heavy supplies (chemical buckets).
• Duties may require climbing a ladder if necessary (i.e. changing a light bulb; cleaning surfaces and/or dusting high surfaces).
• Ensures proper cleaning chemicals are diluted as per specifications and utilized properly. This requires the ability to identify and read labels.

Other Responsibilities
• Replenishes supplies upon return from the job site if applicable.
• Participates in on-going trainings and attends regular scheduled staff meetings.
• Removes snow by using various hand tools or snow blower.
• This does not limit the assignment of duties or excludes the performance of other duties as required your supervisors.
• Be flexible as work schedules and locations are subject to change.

Qualifications

High School Diploma preferred. Knowledge of cleaning equipment and maintenance procedures. Must be able to obtain and wear an Agency uniform. NYS Driver’s license and access to a vehicle a plus. Computer literacy is a plus.
