WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
• Interpret blueprints and collaborate with the Lead person to confirm job requirements.
• Gather necessary materials and perform layout work according to specifications.
• Set up welding machines and adjust settings for various applications.
• Weld steel, aluminum, copper, and other materials in multiple positions and joint configurations.
• Inspect welds for quality, repairing defective joints as needed.
• Operate cutting torches and manual plasma cutters when required.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area by performing regular housekeeping duties.
YOU HAVE:
• High School Diploma or GED
• At least one year of welding experience
• Able to read tape measures and blueprints
• Ability to properly operate welding equipment.
• Must be trained in applicable SOPs and work instructions
• Skilled in utilizing cutting torches, brushes, pads, buffers, grinders, overhead cranes, and rubber hammers
• Abilities to meet the physical and environmental demands:
• Standing /Walking for extended periods of time,
• Lift up to 50lbs.,
• Work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
• Wear the required PPE for the given position.
