MIG & TIG Welder-$21-24/hr

Job Description

This role offers an opportunity for an experienced welder to perform a variety of MIG and TIG welding tasks on stainless steel, galvanized steel, and aluminum components. You will work from blueprints, operate welding and cutting equipment, and contribute to high-quality fabrication in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities
• Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, including 1/16" thick stainless steel, 1/16" thick galvanized steel, 3/16" thick galvanized steel, and 1/4" aluminum.
• Demonstrate the ability to MIG weld in all positions to meet quality and safety standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints accurately to complete welding and fabrication tasks according to specifications.
• Use appropriate safety equipment consistently and follow all safety procedures in a welding environment.
• Safely operate powered hand tools required for welding and fabrication work.
• Perform torch operations in a safe and controlled manner as needed for cutting and heating tasks.
• Operate horizontal and vertical saw equipment to cut materials to required dimensions.
• Operate pipe cutting and threading equipment effectively to prepare components for assembly.
• Maintain welding machines, tools, and work areas by performing routine checks and basic maintenance.
• Accurately record time and work performed by charging hours to specific work orders and following payroll timekeeping procedures.

Essential Skills
• 2–3 years of experience in welding, with hands-on MIG and TIG welding work.
• Proficiency in MIG welding in all positions.
• Ability to perform TIG welding on stainless steel and galvanized materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints for fabrication and welding tasks.
• Knowledge of and adherence to safety practices in a welding environment, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Experience safely operating powered hand tools used in welding and fabrication.
• Training and experience in torch operations.
• Ability to operate horizontal and vertical saw equipment.
• Ability to operate pipe cutting and threading equipment.
• Understanding of basic machine and area maintenance requirements.

Work Environment

This position is based in a non-climate-controlled facility, so temperatures will reflect seasonal weather conditions. The standard schedule runs Monday through Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., with current operations extending to approximately 3:15 p.m., creating regular opportunities for overtime. You will work in a hands-on industrial setting with welding stations, horizontal and vertical saws, pipe cutting and threading equipment, powered hand tools, and torch equipment. Appropriate safety gear is required at all times to ensure a safe and compliant welding environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
