POSITION OVERVIEW 

We are looking for shipfitters/welders to work in Philadelphia, PA.

Local workers $41.34 an hr

The job is non local workers paying $33/hr and 150/day per diem.

Must be able to pass a tack welding test for flux and stick.

We are seeking a dedicated Shipfitter with at least 3 years of shipfitting experience. The candidate will perform layout, cutting, metric measuring, and structural fitting processes on ships. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of shipfitting experience and the ability to demonstrate their skills through a hands-on craft test.

REQUIREMENTS 
• Minimum of 3 years of shipfitting experience
• Pass a hands-on craft test
• Proficiency in structural fitting processes
• Must have experience cutting steel with a torch

SKILLS 
• Strong understanding of shipfitting techniques and best practices
• Ability to accurately perform layout, cutting with a torch, and metric measuring
• Attention to detail and precision in fitting processes
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Knowledge of safety standards and practices related to ship fitting

RESPONSIBILITIES 
• Perform layout and structural fitting processes accurately
• Cut materials using a torch
• Measure materials using metric measurements (cm, mm, etc.)
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently
